Created for secondary students, this year-long writing workbook is designed to support Exceptional Students as they strengthen foundational writing skills and build writing confidence.
With an emphasis on structure, scaffolding, and skill development, Bridging Potential includes academic language support, weekly journal prompts, organization activities, opportunities to consistently work within the writing process steps, quarterly reflection pages, extension activities, and clear writing routines that help students build stamina and self-efficacy. An IEP Goal page helps students monitor their progress and record growth.
Scaffolded support includes graphic organizers, word banks, sentence frames, and writing prompts.
Key features, such as pre- and post-assessments and a built-in scoring section make this a teacher-friendly tool for formative assessments, IEP progress monitoring, individualized instruction, and writing support.
